Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

Book redesign and promotional merchandise.

fall down the rabbit hole in style
This collection is part of my senior thesis project. It consisted of redesigning a book cover and creating promotional merchandise for the story.
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is a beloved story with iconic characters and a recognizable world. The intent of creating the book cover and the merchandise was to add to the reading experience and immersion of the story. I wanted to stay true to what Wonderland is while also bringing a modern twist on the world. The goal was to create merchandise that was immersive and fun, such as creating a bookmark that was a paintbrush, and stickers that looked like playing cards, and an advertising banner that looked like a royal banner that would hang over the Queen of Hearts castle or a trumpet the White Rabbit would carry.

A modern twist on wonderland
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is regarded as a classic and the designs are usually very rooted in the era it was written in. I thought it would be interesting to do a modern twist on the dust jacket art. I took elements from the story and tried to incorporate them into the cover in a familiar way while still creating something that looked visually rooted in the whimsical world that is Wonderland. The cover art reflects the charm and mysterious allure that Alice encountered down the rabbit hole.
